The album was recorded live to 2” tape in just three days on site at a beautiful reclaimed church in Viroqua, WI, that dates to the early 1900s. Produced and engineered by Tom Herbers (Low, the Jayhawks, Trampled by Turtles) Klatt says Shadows in the Sunset “holds in its grooves ten thousand miles of asphalt, about eight pairs of good shoes, and the generosity of a thousand strangers. It’s a collection of stories about the beauty of blazing sunsets, the art of saying goodbye, and letting endings turn into new beginnings.”

Different Folk Records in partnership with Hymie’s Vintage Records is proud to announce the release of Jack Klatt’s second solo album.  The songwriter will be performing a release party at The Icehouse in Minneapolis on May 7th. Doors open at 9:30pm. He will be performing his newest collection of original material with his roots based backing band and a handful of special guests. Tickets for the show are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.
